As I entered the bar I noticed it was almost empty. Just a guy doodling on his notebook, and the bartender preparing a simple drink. I just wanted some alone time and get completely wasted, since I had broken with my girlfriend a few minutes before. If you ask me, I don’t even know why I broke with her, we were pretty much in love, but today I felt like it wasn’t going to work out, so I just broke up with her.
Most people don’t understand what it means to be in a gang. I don’t spend my days dealing drugs or shooting people. Mostly I make sure that the local stores don’t get robbed by the neighborhood punks and that there isn’t any violence on the streets that is not gang sanctioned. It organized, we exist within a few city blocks and everyone is answerable to someone.
“This is the last time you abuse women” the kinky looking nurse infront of me said. I was completely naked. “We were hired to make you pay for all your sins Edward” she said. I wanted to talk, but all I could do is mumble, I was tied and gagged. “What is that? you want to talk? you want to complain? Look Edward, in a few minutes that won’t matter”.
Adam was sick and tired of doing poorly in school. It seemed like no matter how hard he studied he’d always get stumped by questions about the most obscure details possible. He was walking home on day after a particularly frustrating test. He’d gotten full marks on the essay, but somehow couldn’t list all the authors of the texts he’d been reading. “It’s not fair,” he grumbled to nobody in particular, “I just wish I knew the answer to any question.” A clap of thunder interrupted his train of thought. ‘That’s weird,’ he thought, ‘there isn’t a cloud in the sky’.
It will be hard to believe, but one day, for no reason at all, I found an old dusty notebook on my desk. It was completely empty, no one had written on it before. I didn’t give it much thought, I was sure someone else had forgotten it. I took it to the front desk, but as soon as I was back at my desk, the notebook was there again. It was impossible, almost like it had teleported or something.
It’s 2124 and society had changed dramatically in the last hundred years, everyone now attends school until the age of 20. During the final year those who scored below a certain mark find themselves changed into the ideal partner of one of those who scored higher, the higher you score the larger your harem you could build which eventually turned into a status symbol.
I can’t believe it has already been a year. I didn’t believe him, I thought he was playing some kind of joke on me.
“So, how is the tea James?” I asked my friend. “It is good, but to tell you the truth, at first it tasted funny, and I felt it burn my tongue. But after the second taste, I just can’t stop drinking it.”
Last week I broke up with my girlfriend. I found out she was cheating on me, and with one of my so called friends. I just didn’t know with whom exactly.
Kyle kept the remote hidden for three day’s since the last time he used it. It’s powers were to great to play with, but this time it could actually make something good.
