“Wow David, or I suppose I should say Esmerelda? I can’t believe it’s been a year since my agency granted your wish for a reliable money making skill.”
“Yeah, that’s right. A whole year with these puppies.” David said, squeezing his chest. “It’s definitely been a learning experience. But let’s not beat around the bush. We both know you mislead me.”
“Mislead you how?”
“You know for damn well I didn’t wish to be a woman, or a stripper.”
“We simply fulfilled your wish and set you up with a job that utilized your new skills.”
“I wouldn’t call ‘having tits and ass’ a skill.” David said, bemused.
“Your paycheck would beg to differ. Also, you’re not a stripper, you’re an exotic dancer.”
“An exotic dancer who strips on stage to music. Do you know what it’s like to have a guy slip a 20 into your g-string and snap it back?”
“We both know you can quit whenever you want.” The wish agent reasoned.
“Not without ID or any records of my existence I can’t!”
“Ah, okay.” He said, writing something down on his clipboard. “Client requests new identification.”
“No, you’re not getting it. I don’t want new identification, I want my old ID. I want to be a man again. You twisted my wish and I’ve been a woman for the last year. I miss my life, my friends and family. I miss having a dick and fucking women. You said that after a year I’d be able to renegotiate the wish and I want it undone.”
“So you’re unhappy with your experience?”
“What do you think?”
“Well I’m sorry Esmerelda-“
“Don’t call me that.”
“That’s your name. I’m sorry, but the contract you signed a year ago is very clear. Wishes cannot be undone, and the renegotiation period is meant for minor adjustments and tweaks. We couldn’t make you a man again if we wanted to, it’s simply not possible.”
“I- I’m not going to sit here… This can’t be happening…” David said, struggling to comprehend the reality the agent just informed him of.
“I’m sorry that you’re unsatisfied, I suppose our business is over. Farewell Esmerelda, I hope things work out for you.” The agent said, packing his things up and leaving. David sat at the bar table stunned, processes the fact that he was stuck in his life. When 5:00 hit, he went backstage and got ready for his shift. He’d had a year to get used to this, now he’s have A LOT longer.
