Elliot, Victor, Jake, Bradley and Alex had all been very ready for this trip. They’d applied for a semester abroad to study in Italy and, luckily enough, won it. They were pumped and ready to go. The flight had gone without a hitch and they’d decided for a boat trip before getting down to business—of course, it being Italy, they weren’t going to not see the sights. At the airport Jake had picked a little statuette of Venus, the Roman goddess of love. He’d recently had a hard break up and was secretly hoping for a little bit more luck. He’d left it in the hotel room by his pillow and overnight as the boys slept it “worked it’s magic”
Ellie, Victoria, Jeanne, Bella and Andrea were very excited over their trip. After all, Jeanne’s family had a villa on the southern coast not too far from Salerno, and she was looking forwards to showing it off.
