It was hard times economically, and Johnny was out of a job. No matter where he went it seemed like no one was hiring. In growing desperation, Johnny went to his cousin, who was a witch. He asked her to get him a job. She had an idea, but warned him straight up, “your not going to like this”.
She was right. Johnny didn’t like it. It could be worse, though, Anna reminded herself . It payed the bills, and it technically wasn’t bein a stripper. Or a whore. That would have been one step too far.
