The dark lord was terrorizing the land, and the only hope of the people was the mage council, containing the 10 stronger known wizards.
In front of the desperate situation, these wizards used all their ressources to concentrate on finding a solution.
Their final plans were simple:
They would use divination spells to look in the future and find the farthest descendant of one of the wizards considering their combined capacities, and combine all of their magic to send the mind of that person’s ancestor to take over his body. The goal being to find futuristic technologies that would allow the defeat of the dark lord.
That duty fell on the sgoulders of Balthazar the blue. His descendant was the only one still alive in the year that was the limit f thir power: 2016 . Even if the divination spells could only follow bloodlines, and not give a description of the descendant, the council was unanimous: with an ancestor as powerfull as balthazar the blue, that person was certain to have some magic powers.
The spell was cast, sending forth Balthazar hundreds of years later, on a mission to find out about the future with a 10 year journey, after which the spell would fail.
Balthazar felt himself leave his body. He had already travelled into another body temporarily, and made small time travels, but never the two at once, and the experience was… odd.
He opened back his eyes and, maybe because of the double spell, he felt different… almost as if he had changed from he core, down to his way of seeing life… And not only that had changed…
Pushing aside a strand of hair that was before his eyes, Balthazar saw a mirror in front of him. He was a girl! Still unsure how to react, Emma-Balthazar crossed her arms behind her back and flashed a shy smile at the unknown man.
The effect was immediate. Balthazar’s mind recognised the feeling as the one he got when he cast magic, but a bit more… subjugating. The man’s eyes went blank, and Emma thought she had hypnotised the man, until he started moving.

For the other wizards, it was as if Balthazar had only been away a few minutes, and they immediately started questionning him to know if he’d found something that might help against the dark lord. He told the council that he had the recipe for a very strong potion, but that it would require time and leaving him alone.
A week later, a young lady went to the 9 other wizards and handed them potions from Balthazar.
