Simon had heard all sorts of things about the forest nearby to him, but for the most part he ignored it. After all, he was in his mid-twenties now- who would believe in stories of mysterious creatures or ancient curses? Those were the types of things you’d tell children to keep them away from a forest they could get lost in.
But when his friend mentioned that he’d heard the curse was real, Simon had to do a double take. How could it be true? According to his friend, there was actually a sort of monster that lived within the forest. It rarely showed itself, and only did so when it needed to reproduce. But when it did it could cast a spell that allowed it to accommodate to reproduce with any creature.
Simon, deciding to call bullshit, went into the forest that night.
Clearly, he was wrong.
