I awoke to the sound of clapping, a sound so alien to wake up to it should have sent me into a panic. Strangely I did not panic, I felt very content, I slowly opened my eyes and rolled towards the source of the noise.
I appeared to be laying on a stage in front of a full lecture theatre. I calmly surveyed the audience realising I was the focus of their applaud.
I smiled as sweetly as I could, unsure of why I deserved such praise.
The crowd was not applauding out of complement however, it was clapping due to both fear and amusement.
Amusement at who lay naked and altered in front of them.
Fear that fate of the creature could one day be theirs.
